Katrina is a mom to five kids and knows first-hand how much kids love to be in the kitchen. The idea for Measure & Make simply came from the urge to get food on the table in a timely fashion but also needing to teach her own kid's lifelong skills in the kitchen that they're not getting anywhere else.  

Creating meals in a timely fashion that her kids will actually eat, are always on the menu in her home. Homemade baby food, canning, desserts, holiday meals and comfort foods are Katrina's specialty. Hosting elaborate parties and gatherings at her home is something Katrina's friends and family always enjoy.

Born and raised in Farmington, NM, Katrina's background hasn't always been in the kitchen. Working as a street paramedic and emergency nurse for over 20 years, the stress from her job has always led her to the kitchen to find comfort in the food she creates. Witnessing the fragility of life first-hand, has pushed Katrina to spend quality time with her husband Chris and five kids.
